Namita is a Pelvic Floor and Orthopaedic Physiotherapist with over 9 years of experience. She helps treat prenatal, postpartum and menopausal women with urinary incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, pelvic pain and surgery recovery.
She has a passion for continued education and has completed various courses in pelvic health, visceral mobilization, acupuncture, manual therapy, rapid neurofascial reset and improving pelvic floor function through spinal manual therapy. She uses a comprehensive and holistic approach which includes hands on treatment, individualized exercise program and client specific education. She is excited about promoting and advocating for women’s health and well-being. Lamiya graduated from Queens University in 2012, with her masters in Physical Therapy. After working as a Orthopaedic Physiotherapist, Lamiya's passion for women's health led her to pursue further training in pelvic floor physiotherapy.
She works closely with patients who suffer from pelvic floor dysfunctions, with a focus on pre and post natal effects on the pelvic floor muscles. Her goal is to empower and help educate females to combat the effects of pregnancy and delivery on their bodies. Using a variety of treatment modalities such as manual therapy, functional taping techniques and exercise prescription, Lamiya creates an individualized treatment plan geared to meeting a patients' goals! Jocelyn is passionate about creating a supportive, comfortable environment for her clients. She offers Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy and General Physiotherapy. Having experienced pelvic health concerns herself, she wanted to help other women feel empowered to address their health concerns and reclaim their quality of life. Seeing patients overcome their physical and emotional challenges is the most rewarding part of her work.
As a Resident Physiotherapist she is a fully trained professional practicing in clinic as she awaits her final licensing exam, held annually. Like registered physiotherapists, her services are assigned a licensing number, allowing patients to submit for reimbursement with benefits providers. Her approach to physiotherapy is holistic and patient-centered. She provides personalized care for issues such as urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, and pelvic pain. She's committed to ensuring her patients are receiving the most up-to-date, evidence based care. She has taken additional courses on pelvic health to support the unique needs of my patients. Amanda graduated with her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2016. She has since worked with a variety of patients in different healthcare settings and continues to teach in the Physiotherapy program at McMaster University as an assistant clinical professor and as lecturer in the Physical Therapy program at University of Toronto. Amanda is a lifelong learner and continues to build on her experience with training in chronic pain management, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and incontinence. She is passionate about the role of physiotherapy in preventing disease and managing chronic pain.
Amanda is dedicated to providing client-centered care, which includes a balance of education, exercise, hands-on therapy, acupuncture, and self-management. Amanda has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and enjoys integrating yoga postures and relaxation techniques into rehabilitation. Her goal as a Physiotherapist is to help mamas and mamas-to-be to regain their function and to be able to do things that are important to them.
