Yoga Mamas General Manager and Wellness Concierge My name is Janet and I’m a mom of two incredible girls (Neva, and Loie) who were born 10 years apart. Raising two truly unique humans together with my partner is clearly exactly where I am supposed to be in life and these years have taught me so much. I am absolutely still learning along the way. I first came to Yoga Mamas as a client. My daughter was 6 years old at the time, so I didn’t exactly fit the demographic-or at least that’s what I thought. There were two things I’ll never forget about my initial visit to our studio. First was the space. As a person with a creative background and a degree in fine arts, I am so aware of the impact that space, order and light have that can really elevate your creative mind and unlock a sense of calm within. These were elements of the studio that I instantly appreciated. I felt like I could escape for a moment and was inspired by the layout and brightness of each room. Every item had its purposeful place. For a busy mom, this level of detail brought peace and clarity to a season in life that can be perfectly messy and unpredictable. Looking back, what was most unforgettable was how I was made to feel when I walked in. I was warmly welcomed, given a tour, and guided to my class. I felt welcome, valued and included- like I belonged here. And these are feelings we need to experience now more than ever. My job is to help you navigate through our offerings, answer your questions, and walk alongside you as you experience the amazing benefits of each one with our team of caring professionals and it is truly my pleasure. I’ve been a yoga instructor for almost two decades, and I owe a lot to the benefits of my yoga practice. Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Wellness Concierge Hello! I’m Kat, a parent of three wonderful kids aged 8 to 18, and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) here at Yoga Mamas. I truly believe that finding a supportive community is essential during any life transition, especially during the perinatal period, and I’m passionate about guiding clients through this transformative time. As a parent, I deeply understand the unique challenges and joys that come with this phase of life. My personal experiences allow me to empathize with your journey in a meaningful way. As a mental health practitioner, I recognize the essential role of a holistic approach in nurturing your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. With that said, I am deeply connected to both the practitioner and client communities at Yoga Mamas, and I look forward to extending that same sense of connection to both new and returning clients. My familiarity with our services, combined with my background in midwifery and mental health, enables me to offer personalized support that is finely tuned to your unique needs.
