Abdominal Massage
We offer abdominal massage as a way to support your abdominal blood circulation, digestive system and relaxation. Using the same principles as Swedish massage, our skilled Registered Massage Therapists start by massaging your back, neck, and shoulders to calm your parasympathetic system before moving on to your abdominal muscles.
The benefits of abdominal massage are numerous. Not only can it help alleviate constipation and stress, but it may also assist in the management of side effects while going through fertility treatments and improve circulation and blood flow. |
- Abdominal massage helps manage side effects of IVF like constipation, cramping and bloating.
- Abdominal massage during pregnancy uses fascial techniques on and around the abdomen and stomach to help alleviate discomfort along the upper rib cage and lower hip flexor and hip region. Doing these techniques helps create the feeling of space providing more comfort and sometimes less heartburn or reflux after a treatment.
- During postpartum, abdominal massage can be particularly beneficial as it helps alleviate constipation and re-engage the body.
