Starting baby on their solids journey can feel daunting for a lot of parents. Where do you start? When do you start? How do you begin? Yoga Mamas Lactation Consultant, Deena Zachs works with families to create a personalized plan providing baby with their very best start on solids.

FAQs
Do I need to bring baby with me?
It’s recommended that baby stays home so that the parent(s)/caregiver(s) are able to focus on the information given by the Lactation Consultant. However you are more than welcome to bring baby with you.
Is this offered to parents only?
No caregivers are able to book this service.
Can I do this virtually or in clinic?
Either appointment format is conducive, whichever is best for you and your family.
When should I book this service?
When you’re ready to prepare for your baby’s solid feeding journey. Generally, babies are ready to start solids around 6 months. A follow up appointment is recommended 2 weeks after the initial consultation to monitor progress, address any new questions and continue your support.

Deena Zacks, LC
Deena is a certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She provides prenatal classes, feeding support, and education on introducing solids online, in person and in the comfort of your home.
She has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from York University, completed the Breastfeeding program at Mohawk College and has over 500 hours of clinical experience under the guidance of Paola Vallarino (IBCLC). She has received extensive training in identifying tethered oral tissues (tongue and lip ties), clinical management of low milk supply and other feeding challenges.
She is dedicated to helping families achieve their feeding goals, whatever they may be. Every baby and family is unique and Deena is passionate about providing holistic and non-judgemental support to anyone in need.

Cancellation Policy:
All Wellness cancellations must be made a minimum of 24 hours, prior to your appointment time. We have a limited amount of Wellness appointments available and they are in high demand. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment will be charged in full. Thank you for your understanding.

A Note About yoga Mamas' Cancellation Policies
Please note that we do not offer refunds. Each event/course/training/wellness appt has it's own specific cancellation policy which is listed on each registration page. Please take the time to read these in full prior to registering. Each event/appointment that we run is in partnership with a practitioner who is focusing their independent career in prenatal and postpartum health. This is their beautiful livelihood.
