You have created a very welcoming environment. The service providers, and instructors are warm and down to earth. There is a certain kind of energy in the space and with the staff that seems to come very naturally. Positive and calming energy is much needed for the long road that is pregnancy and recovery. Personally, I feel that coming to prenatal yoga at TYM prepared me for the birth that I was hoping for. It inspired me to take the prenatal YTT, and I have decided to pursue my 200-hr YTT as a result. I also cannot say enough kind and fabulous things about Rhonnda Smiley, who became my doula. She’s an excellent instructor, and one of the most maternal women I’ve ever met. She is also a big part of why my daughter’s birth was so special. She inspired my best friend, who was also present at my daughter’s birth, to become a doula. The “uterine power” (I heard another TYM doula use this term) at TYM is palpable. There is nothing like the power of strong and nurturing women when you’re embarking on the motherhood journey. I believe Janet recommended her at the front desk... and I absolutely love it! Lamiya was super professional, she assessed me internally and taught me things about my pelvic floor that I didn't even know was an issue. She gives me exercises and homework so I can strengthen (apparently I wasn't doing kegels properly) and I was peeing way too often which wasn't a good thing. She help me adjust that as well. Anyways, bottom line, I love her and recommended her to all my pregnant friends and non pregnant friends.
