At our breastfeeding clinic, mamas and mamas-to-be will feel empowered to reach their unique breastfeeding goals. Our Lactation Consultants
Nadia Bellio, LC
Nadia is a highly experienced Lactation Consultant and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist with over 20 years of experience in providing lactation support. She started her career as a doula and midwife apprentice in Peru and Argentina and later completed the Ryerson Midwifery Education Program in Toronto in 2006. Nadia worked as a Registered Midwife in Ontario from 2007 until 2023, helping hundreds of families with comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. In addition, she has taught prenatal and HypnoBirthing classes. With her extensive experience, Nadia is adept at providing anticipatory guidance to expectant parents as they prepare to feed their baby, and she can help families transition to successful breast or chestfeeding. Her expertise lies in supporting families through challenges such as difficult or painful latching, low milk supply, excessive weight loss, and slow weight gain. Having successfully breastfed her own child well into the toddler years, Nadia can provide support and guidance with feeding issues through the toddler stage, as well as through new pregnancies and tandem nursing a new baby and toddler. Nadia approaches her work with kindness, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude, and she is passionate about supporting families from all backgrounds. Whether you need prenatal lactation planning consults or postpartum lactation support visits, Nadia is available to help you and your family through every step of the lactation journey. She looks forward to getting to know you and supporting you during this uniquely special time in your life. |

Deena Zacks, LC
Deena is a certified Lactation Consultant. She provides prenatal classes, feeding support, and education on introducing solids virtually and in person.
She has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from York University, completed the Breastfeeding program at Mohawk College and has over 500 hours of clinical. She has received extensive training in identifying tethered oral tissues (tongue and lip ties), clinical management of low milk supply and other feeding challenges.
She is dedicated to helping families achieve their feeding goals, whatever they may be. Every baby and family is unique and Deena is passionate about providing holistic and non-judgemental support to anyone in need.

Paola Vallarino, IEP, IBCLC, CBS
Internationally Educated Physician International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Certified Breastfeeding Specialist Certified Pediatric Sleep Specialist Child Nutrition Diploma Paola is an Internationally Educated Physician, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, the gold standard certification for health professionals working with breastfeeding families. She's always updating her knowledge with continuing education to give families the best care. Paola has over 10 years of medical background and over 2000 hours of clinical experience helping families to have a happy breastfeeding journey. Paola holds a diploma in Child Nutrition and provides families with advice on how to feed their babies when starting solids or supplementing. She's also a Certified Pediatric Sleep Specialist and helps families and babies sleep better with a holistic approach focused on attachment and well-being. She specializes in Tethered Oral Tissues (tongue and lip ties) and in the last years she has worked with several families with tongue-tied babies, along with pediatric dentists and pediatricians, including Dr. Jack Newman in the International Breastfeeding Center in Toronto. She also specializes in Breastfeeding Multiples and has plenty of experience working with mothers in their lactation journey and with Low Milk Supply. As a mother herself, she understands the difficulties that women can face when feeding their babies, and that's why her mission is to support, educate and empower mamas with evidence based information so that they can feel confident and give their babies the best start. For Paola, every family is special, and giving them judgement-free support by working on their unique feeding goals is her number one priority. |

Taya Griffin, IBCLC
Taya is a breastfeeding mother with over 1,000 hours of clinical experience helping mamas to reach their breastfeeding goals.
In 2007, she graduated from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine with a Professional Diploma in Health Sciences and Homeopathic Medicine. From here, she practiced as a Homeopathic Practitioner with a special interest in pregnancy, pediatrics and women’s conditions.
In 2011, she graduated from the International Breastfeeding Centre/ Newman Breastfeeding Clinic’s Lactation Medicine Program and In 2014 became an Internationally Certified Board Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). In 2019 she attended the IBCLC Master Class in New York learning additional techniques on how to help breastfeeding mothers and their babies.
She teaches a "Breastfeeding Essential for Doulas and Health Care Practitioners" at our clinic and has educated high level executives with a desire to understand more about breastfeeding and how to support breastfeeding mothers. She also teaches yoga and pilates to a variety of clientele, including pre and postnatal mothers.
