All Yoga Mamas Gua Sha Glow Facial treatments are performed by a Registered Acupuncturist, which may be eligible for coverage under your health care benefits.

Gua Sha Glow Facial
Gua Sha Glow Facial is a natural way to enhance the appearance of your skin and increase your overall glow while enjoying full body relaxation. This treatment includes a combination of facial gua sha stone massage and facial cupping. It is a pregnancy safe alternative to Cosmetic Acupuncture. Depending on the client a few needles (no more than 8) will be placed on the face.

Each Gua Sha Glow Facial takes place in our candlelit private treatment rooms with soft meditative music playing to encourage a sense of calm. After the first treatment, you can expect a natural glow on your face.

Please note that this service does not include traditional facial elements such as deep skin cleansing, detoxifying, steaming, extraction etc.

What are the benefits of Gua Sha Glow Facial?
  • Glowing skin
  • Reduced appearance of wrinkles and puffiness
  • Full body relaxation
Gua Sha Stone
Gua Sha Stone Massage
What is a gua sha stone massage?
Unidirectional stroking with a polished stone tool applied to the face and neck to improve circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage, release tense muscles (jaw/neck etc), sculpt contours, and give the skin a healthy glow.

This is also a mindful activity you can add to your morning routine to set yourself up for the day. Anyone can have facial gua sha.

What is facial cupping?
Facial cupping is a technique using soft silicone cups to create a gentle suction. Similarly to gua sha, the cups are slid over the contours of the face. The suction helps invigorate skin and tone face muscles with a pleasant lifting sensation.

The gua sha Massage and facial cupping increases microcirculation, enabling the skin to self-hydrate and deliver colour, oxygen and nutrients to the skin. They also firm, lift and tone the skin while smoothing, plumping and delivering an overall brightening glow.

Mamas and mamas-to-be will leave feeling well rested, calm and radiant. This treatment is a beautiful gift for yourself or loved one who may be expecting.

A Note About yoga Mamas' Cancellation Policies

Please note that we do not offer refunds. Each event/course/training/wellness appt has it's own specific cancellation policy which is listed on each registration page. Please take the time to read these in full prior to registering.  Each event/appointment that we run is in partnership with a practitioner who is focusing their independent career in pre and postnatal health. This is their beautiful livelihood. This is why we have these policies in place. Thank you very much for your understanding. Jamie Kalynuik, Founder of Yoga Mamas
