"In Fertility Yoga, we rediscover our sense of oneness with all things and learn tools to manifest what you want through visualization and imagery." 1.Fertility Yoga Reduces Stress Anger, frustration and stress generate chemical responses similar to your nervous system’s “fight or flight” response. Getting on the mat helps you stay balanced during a very stressful time in your life, especially as you undergo fertility treatments. The breath work helps your body relax. It can also help lessen the side effects of hormonal treatments by lowering stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline which are counterproductive to conception. All fertility yoga postures should encourage awareness of the body and increase a sense of oneness and control. Another important physiological effect is on the endocrine system. Your endocrine system is responsible for your hormonal balance, and reproductive health. It plays an important role in fertility. Yoga can support and strengthen the endocrine system, allowing for proper hormonal balance. 2. Increases blood flow to the Uterus Practicing certain yoga poses opens up and increases blood circulation to the hips and pelvic regions. This can help break up scar tissue and other blockages that would impede circulation near the reproductive organs. Increased blood flow means increased oxygen capacity and increased nutrients to the area. The uptake in blood flow nourishes the endometrial lining of the uterus and can increase the chance of both fertilization and implantation.
