1. Choose A Place That's Quiet And Get Comfortable
Create a feeling of being grounded by adding floor pillows or bolsters. Add scented candles or candle light to bring about a cozy atmosphere and our new fave, incense. Feel free to add gentle acoustic music if it further relaxes you.
2. Practice Rituals That Will Calm Your Inner Self
This step will vary from person to person, however a warm, calm-inducing tea is often a great place to start. Journaling is another ritual that can help relax our minds. Often we have many thoughts bouncing through our heads throughout the day. Getting our thoughts out on paper, and expressing gratitude on a daily basis is proven to increase your happiness in the long term.
3. Try to Be Consistent
Practicing self-care is only as good as the time you set aside to do so on a regular basis.
Setup a recurring calendar invite one a day/time that seems accessible and realistic to you. Perhaps start off once a month and then move to once every two weeks.
