What is your cancellation policy?
We do not offer refunds. Cancelling 45 days prior to start date: 100% of tuition returned as a credit on our studio, minus $50 administration fee. No credit for cancellations made within 45 days of the start of training. No exceptions. Thank you for your understanding. What if I'm called to a birth, or am sick? We are unable to offer make up classes or credits for missed time regardless of reason. Our trainings are always sold out and we cannot accommodate students from previous trainings who are looking to make up missed time. Thank you for understanding. Can I bring my nursing baby? Breaks will occur in the AM and PM for 15 minutes and about an hour over the lunch hour. You may use these times to meet with your family, to nurse a baby, etc. Quiet babies in arms (usually under 3-4 months old) are welcome to be with you during the workshop, but we ask that you excuse yourself if baby is making noise (happy or otherwise). Childcare is not provided and older babies are not permitted in order to allow for an ideal learning environment for all participants. |
How long is the workshop?
Our workshop runs over three days. How much does it cost? The fee for our workshop is $549+HST. This includes the DONA approved training manual and light snacks for the workshop. Are there any prerequisites or previous experience necessary to attend the workshop? No experience necessary. The workshop is for many the first step to becoming a Doula! If you would like to start reading in advance to the workshop, the DONA postpartum reading list has many great book recommendations. The reading list is available in the certification guide, available here. You may find it beneficial to read DONA position papers prior to workshop attendance:

Full cancellation available within 24 hours of booking. Refunds are available 30 days or more before workshop start date minus a $40 handling fee. No refunds will be made within 30 days of the workshop, however registrants may apply the fee towards any future purchase at Yoga Mamas. Cancellations within one week of class must pay a $50 administration fee to rebook and apply fee towards another workshop. NO EXCEPTIONS.
