Meet Your Counsellor
Lisha Cash, MSW, RSW:
Social Worker, Psychotherapist Lisha is a counsellor and psychotherapist in Toronto. She completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto, with a specialization in children and families. Lisha has a special interest in working with women as they navigate life and role transitions, specifically in the areas of pregnancy, motherhood, co-parenting, fertility, and loss. Lisha’s approach focuses on building a therapeutic relationship that encompasses trust and respect, while creating an environment that is safe for clients to explore the most sensitive areas of their lives. Working together with her clients, Lisha helps to identify their strengths and abilities, while helping empower clients to harness these in order to overcome obstacles in their lives. Each person is unique, therefore, Lisha utilizes a trauma-informed, eclectic approach to counselling, drawing from various theoretical orientations based on the client’s needs and presenting issues. These may include, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based practice, and Solution-Focused frameworks. Lisha has received perinatal mood and anxiety disorders training by Postpartum Support International, which focused on the components of care surrounding pre and postnatal depression and anxiety, with advanced training in psychotherapy. Lisha’s passion for this work was further ignited when she became a mama herself in 2018. |
