Yoga Mamas is looking for an Operations Manager to manage our yoga studio in Leslieville, Toronto. You will be the key point person for the Yoga Mamas studio and will oversee and lead the day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to, everything listed below. You will manage our amazing front desk and wellness teams, and report directly to the Studio Owner.
You balance strategic planning with being an unrelenting “execution expert” with a strong presence in the studio to ensure our vision is delivered every day to every amazing mama who walks through our doors. You have a strong background in operations and have previously managed a customer service based business. You love organization, cleanliness, numbers, and an empty email inbox.
The Operations Manager has the ability and desire to be hands on in an entrepreneurial fast-paced and dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Studio Operations
You are the number one point person for the studio.
- Provide day to day management of the studio
- Lead rollout and implementation of any changes to amenities or facilities
- Manage maintenance issues
- Manage studio cleaning ensuring studio is “photo-ready” at all times
- Manage studio health and safety initiatives
- Monitor and manage operational costs
- Manage bank deposits and business reports
- Manage multiple aspects of inventory control
Leadership
You manage our front desk team and our wellness team.
- Manage the studio by example, consistently performing all tasks at the highest level
- Assist in personnel decisions regarding hiring, compensation, promotions, discipline and termination of staff in accordance with company policies
- Manage on-boarding and training of front desk team members and wellness practitioners
- Manage our front desk team schedule
- Manage shift coverage
- Manage our wellness practitioner relationships and schedule
Financial Performance
You love numbers and will be looking at them daily.
- Consistently reach monthly revenue and sales goals
- Manage the studio to the budget, including responsible spending and reporting
- Continually analyze financial reports and create strategic responses to findings that support the business
Sales & Marketing
You will assist in executing the marketing plan developed by the Studio Owner.
- Execute on the monthly marketing plan based on studio needs
- Keep front desk and wellness teams educated and engaged in marketing initiatives
Schedule
- Work with Programming Manager and Studio Owner to optimize the schedule
- Reviews all upcoming classes, courses, wellness appts for conflicts/low enrollment etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a dedicated team player with highly developed problem solving, communication and organizational skills. You are a self-starter with an outgoing personality.
- Undergraduate Degree
- Ability and desire to be hands on in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment
- 2-3 years experience in operations management
- 2-3 years experience in customer service management
- Ambitious and driven
- Flexibility in your schedule. Working weekends is required
- Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills
- High standards of quality and customer service
- Superior verbal communication skills
- Project management skills - proven ability to oversee multiple projects with objective of prioritizing and investing time appropriately
- Team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support function to the front desk team and the company
- Ability to take a 50,000-foot view of the business, as well as get into the day-to-day details of studio management being both strategically proactive and reactive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Yoga knowledge is a plus but not required
