Prepare for your birth by learning acupressure and Shiatsu massage techniques to help you through labour and ease discomfort in the last few weeks of your pregnancy. We will focus on posture and technique so that partners can support through long labours if necessary.
Acupressure points can help with induction, dilation, pain relief, retained placenta and milk ‘let down’. You will learn through hands on practice and will leave the session feeling relaxed, with your partner feeling more confident with how they can support you in labour. There is a maximum of 5 places so that the instructor has time to work with each couple. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring snacks if you want. There will be a short 15 min break. This workshop is best attended in the 3rd trimester, so that couples can remember and practice! |
Workshop Instructor: Justine Sipprell
This class is taught by Justine Sipprell, a ‘Well Mother’ teacher, Shiatsu practitioner and Doula. She has attended many births and has taught midwives and doulas ‘Shiatsu massage’ techniques in British hospitals and in workshops in the UK and Spain.
She has been teaching ‘Birth Prep’ classes for the last eight years.
This class is taught by Justine Sipprell, a ‘Well Mother’ teacher, Shiatsu practitioner and Doula. She has attended many births and has taught midwives and doulas ‘Shiatsu massage’ techniques in British hospitals and in workshops in the UK and Spain.
She has been teaching ‘Birth Prep’ classes for the last eight years.
