Why You Should Make An Online Chiropractic Care Appointment
Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Back pain is a common complaint in pregnancy. It has been reported that up to 90% of women will experience some form of pregnancy-related back pain, most commonly the low back and/or pelvic regions. This pain can be attributed to all the changes your body is undergoing as your babe and belly grows. Prenatal chiropractic care can help to alleviate some of these aches and pains that mamas-to-be experience.
During your virtual appointment, your Chiropractor will discuss your pain complaint and any concerns you have, assess movement, and guide you through helpful strategies, including stretches, exercises, and home care advice. You will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan that will help to manage your pain and support you through your pregnancy in preparation for labour and delivery. |
Postnatal Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care in the postpartum period can be incredibly beneficial for mamas. Caring for a little one can put some stress and strain on mama’s body. Nursing, lifting, rocking, and burping (on repeat) can cause tension in the neck, shoulders and mid-back.
Postnatal chiropractic care can help decrease the stress and strain on these muscles and joints by giving you stretches, exercises, and ergonomic tips. You are welcome to see your Chiropractor following delivery as soon as you feel comfortable. During your virtual appointment, your Chiropractor will discuss your pain complaint, assess movement, and guide you through helpful strategies, including stretches, exercises (i.e. core stability and awareness) and home care advice. Additionally, you will discuss your pregnancy and birth experience to ensure the advice and treatments recommended are safe for you and your healing. You will work together to develop this individualized treatment plan to help support you in your transition into mamahood. Your babe is always welcome at your virtual appointments! |
