Acupressure For Labour: Free Workshop Acupressure is an easy to use, non-invasive way to promote natural pain management during childbirth. During this workshop you (and your birth support person) will learn simple and very effective techniques to help manage labour.Acupressure can help with induction, dilation, pain relief, retained placenta and milk' let down'. Points assist in calming the mind during labour, encourage regular and effective contractions, helping labour to progress if slowed or stopped.
No previous experience required, acupressure is simply applying pressure to a specific point location. You don’t need to know any anatomy or be an accomplished massage therapist to be effective. In just 1 hour you will know how to find and activate specific acupressure points to literally halve the intensity of your partner's contractions and will feel empowered to support your partner through labour. Hands on practice and take home handouts will be provided. Bring your birth support person and come to this fun and interactive workshop. Space is limited. Workshop led by TYM Acupuncturist Heather Rule. With a background in Gender Studies, and a love of hands-on, practical, and creative work, Heather Rule R.Ac has been focused on the study of reproductive health and pregnancy throughout her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine. |
