Dr. Aida Martinez, Naturopathic Doctor
Registered Naturopathic Doctor Dr. Aida Martinez works out of the Yoga Mamas Wellness Clinic offering Naturopathic Care for adults, babies and children. As part of her care she also provides acupuncture treatments and intramuscular vitamin injections. Dr. Aida also provides virtual daytime and evening appointments. After completing a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba, Dr. Aida's love and fascination of natural methods of supporting the human body's innate healing potential grew, which led her to her training in homeopathic medicine.A few years later, she aspired to expand her knowledge in modern and traditional forms of medicine and became a Naturopathic Doctor in 2014. She uses a less-is-more approach to her care plans for her patients and strives to create a non-judgemental and collaborative relationships with them. She is very results-focused and blends a combination of acupuncture, herbs, homeopathic remedies, nutrition, supplements, vitamin injections and lifestyle guidance to achieve this. With over 15 years of clinical experience and having experienced the magnificence of pregnancy and birthing, the heartbreak of pregnancy loss and the wonderful journey of raising children, she brings a wholehearted approach to the world of paediatrics, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care. |
Ingrid Gerberick, R.Ac.
Ingrid is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). She treats a broad array of health issues but has a special interest in reproductive health including fertility, prenatal and postpartum care as well as musculoskeletal pain management and stress relief. With a background in visual arts, Ingrid brings an intuitive and creative sensibility to her practice, and believes deeply in meeting the unique needs of each client. Traditional Chinese Medicine offers a holistic approach to health and Ingrid uses this framework to both treat symptoms and address underlying imbalances to improve overall outcomes. Ingrid’s education includes a diploma from Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine, specialized cosmetic acupuncture training and internships at both Six Degrees Community Acupuncture and Living Waters Therapies. She loves to learn and is always expanding her knowledge and skills in the healing arts to bring the best care to her clients. |
Teresa Lau, R.TCMP, R.Ac
Teresa is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) and Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) with extensive experience in herbal therapy, acupuncture, and other modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Teresa provides a holistic approach to health, healing, and lifestyle management. She treats a wide range of conditions, including stress relief, digestive disorders, allergies, pain management, and the spectrum of women’s health. Teresa is also trained in facial rejuvenation acupuncture and related cosmetic treatments. As a mother herself, Teresa is especially passionate about supporting other mamas on the path from fertility to pregnancy to postpartum and beyond. Teresa’s treatments aim to not only deliver symptomatic relief, but also to correct the underlying imbalances within the body that are at the root of many stubborn conditions. Teresa completed her TCM education at the American College of TCM in San Francisco, and continues to advance her skills and knowledge by pursuing studies with leading TCM experts around the world. Prior to Yoga Mamas, Teresa had established her own thriving practice at multiple locations in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Toronto in late 2018. In her previous career, Teresa completed her Masters in Public Health from Harvard University and had worked as a public health researcher. Teresa is fluent in English and Chinese {fluent in Cantonese, conversational in Mandarin}. She is very approachable and enthusiastic about educating her clients on how to integrate ancient TCM wisdom into our modern-day diets and lifestyles. |
Aline Yon, R.Ac. - Currently On Leave
Aline is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Her focus is supporting reproductive health including fertility, prenatal and postpartum care. Drawing from her own personal experience as a mother, and her extensive training, Aline approaches her patient care with genuine compassion along with supported education. Aline uses Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture to support mamas throughout their journey. In each appointment Aline weaves in education, recipes, and easy-to-implement lifestyle recommendations to compliment the work that is being done in clinic. Aline also helps people with anxiety and stress, as well as other health issues such as pain, PMS, sleep, digestive or respiratory concerns. Her truly tailored treatments, nutritional and lifestyle advice will help you navigate through modern life daily stress with ease. She is fluent in four languages - English, French and Khmer, and can brush up her German to make you feel heard in your preferred language. Aline’s education includes a diploma from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and specialized training in Dr Wu’s head massage, TCM psychology and moxibustion to name a few. She continues to further her knowledge and skills in ear acupuncture and paediatrics. She interned at Simple Cures and at the Toronto Integrative Medicine Centre. She is also a mother who is interested in compassionate education and non-violent communication. She likes communicating and sharing, and she is open to join any project that involves the popularization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Prior to Chinese Medicine, Aline has worked for 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry, where she was connecting people from different cultures and backgrounds. Today, she is connecting modern biomedicine with traditional Chinese Medicine, and her call is to help you connect your physical body with your emotions and your aspirations. |
Danielle Dutra, R.TCMP, R.Ac - Currently On Maternity Leave
Danielle Dutra is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) and Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). She completed her education at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with additional certification in Yuan Qi Classical Acupuncture & Advanced Scalp Acupuncture for Neurological and Psychosomatic Disorders. In the paradigm of TCM, the dualistic nature of yin and yang must find balance for the maintenance of good health. Danielle began the journey of self-inquiry over 10 years ago – exploring meditation, nutrition and fitness. Beginning in 2010, she dedicated 2 years to study the 'self-transforming' silent meditation practice known as Vipassana – which translates to "seeing things as they really are.” As she continues to explore more functional medicine modalities, Danielle’s thirst for knowledge on ‘how we heal’ is ongoing. As a practitioner, she views herself as a facilitator in the role of healing - the true healer resides within each and every one of us. She believes in connecting subtle communications between the mind, body and spirit to better achieve overall balance in health. |
