YOUR SCHEDULE

FRIDAY May 19, 2017 6:00pm-9:00pm
• Please eat dinner before coming to class
• Come in clothes ready to move in! We suggest dressing in layers as temperatures may shift
• Arrive on time- we will get started promptly at 6:00pm
• We ask that you DO NOT come super early- come as close to 6pm as you can as we will be setting up prior.
• You do not need to bring your (2) required reading books with you to class
SATURDAY May 20, 2017 9:00am-6:00pm
• Yoga practice will begin at 9:00am sharp
• Bring your journals/ manuals- or something you have been taking any observation notes in
• Lunch break will be on your own 12:00pm - 1:15pm. 
SUNDAY May 21, 2017 9:00am-6:00pm
• Arrive ready for yoga practice at 9:00am.
• Lunch break will be from 1:00pm - 2:00pm. 

MONDAY May 22, 2017 8:00am-2:00pm
• You will have TWO yoga practices today- manage your energy! The second practice will be after the lunch break.
• First yoga practice is at 8:00am-9:00am
• feel free to bring a snack for yourself if you like to eat a little after yoga
• Lunch break will most likely be a “working lunch” from 11:00am-11:30am.

YOUR PRE-WORK

REQUIRED READINGS & REVIEWS
There are 2 assigned reading books. Please have these read and reviewed BEFORE the training weekend starts. If you need an extension, please let Stacy know - there will be a deadline for accepting these reviews.

  • Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin
Required Review on Each Book 

Email Stacy your one page long - per book- book review! It can be on anything you want... but mostly, “what did you learn and get out of each book?” It does not have to be fancy or a novel- simply your thoughts on each book. If possible, please email us your review BEFORE the training weekend begins. You will not receive your Certificate of Completion until these 2 book reviews are turned in.

OBSERVATION REQUIREMENT 
  1. Yoga Alliance requires that you document your 10 hours of observing/participating Blooma’s prenatal yoga classes. Complete at least 5 hours BEFORE the training begins. This will greatly effect your weekend if you are already familiar with the Blooma sequence. You will not receive your Certificate of Completion until these hours are turned in. You can turn these hours in two months after the training weekend and they will still count. 
  2. Use this log to keep track of your hours. 
  3. When your log sheet is complete, WRITE YOUR NAME ON IT, and turn it in to Stacy. 
  4. Participate 5 times and observe for 5 times so that you can take notes. 
  5. These 10 hours are included in your training and are a part of the yoga alliance guidelines. They are included on your Certificate of Completion. 
  6. Use the Be BLOOMA Well DVD for these hours and practice at home! Available for purchase/rent download online or purchase one up at Blooma. 
  7. You can also view the AM/PM Blooma Yoga DVD available to rent or purchase online. *Note that each series is only 35 minutes so BOTH watching or practicing with both the am and pm would count as one class. 
  8. Please do not stress if you signed up late, and do not finish your 10 hours before our weekend together. There will be a deadline accepting these hours, 2 months post training

  • Bring along your favourite mug for tea 
  • We have yoga mats in the studio for your use, if you prefer your own, bring it along
  • A journal or notebook 
  • Pen

WHAT YOU SHOULD WEAR

  • Temperatures can vary so make sure to dress in layers each day
  • We will be moving each day so make sure to wear comfortable clothing that you can move easily in

  • There is paid parking on Queen St East 
  • You can also park on some side streets. Make sure to check the hours, as they do love to ticket!
