Blooma Training - Toronto 2014 & 2011. Memories & Photos
|
Blooma hosted their first training in Canada in 2011. They came back 3 years later in 2014, and because of demand, sold out their training months in advance.
The women from both trainings walked away with a deeper understanding of the journey of birth, and from here started their own unique personal journeys. One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is "what can I do after I receive my Blooma prenatal teacher certification?". Here are some of the amazing things the women from the 2011 and 2014 trainings have done after their training: 1. Started teaching private prenatal yoga classes 2. Began teaching prenatal yoga in a studio 3. Decided to become a doula 4. Went on to take their postnatal yoga training 5. Had a richer birth experience and became mothers |
Words of love about Blooma's Training
I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Sarah and Stacey and the Blooma Pre-Natal Training. Not only did it give me the skills and confidence to cater specifically to expectant mamas in my yoga classes, but it also changed my perspective on pregnancy, delivery and birth, for which I will be FOREVER grateful!
When I began the training I was in my first trimester, excited but nervous, and to be honest a little scared. After completing the training and spending a short but sweet amount of time with Sarah and Stacey, I really came into my own. I felt strong and powerful, excited and joyful. The recommended readings for the training became great resources for me throughout my pregnancy, and I was able to make educated decisions about how I wanted to proceed with my son’s birth. As a yoga instructor I had already spent a short amount of time studying pre-natal yoga techniques, but when the opportunity was presented for me to train for my pre-natal certification I jumped on it. After taking this training I now feel more than ever that it is so important to be able to understand and cater to the pregnant body and mind, both within a regular yoga class, but also when offering pre-natal yoga exclusively. In the Blooma training, Sarah and Stacey shared their technical and anatomical expertise, but also created a loving, nurturing environment for us pre-natal yogis to be to hone our craft. When I was offered a welcoming rub down upon arrival I knew I had made the right choice to attend this training, and that experience serves as a reminder to always treat my mamas with the same kindness and care. Teaching pre-natal yoga brings me great satisfaction and joy, particularly in the gratitude I see in the mommas who attend my classes. Having experienced the joys and pains of pregnancy myself, I know first hand how important it is to have the opportunity for self-care, and to be nurtured in a space like a pre-natal yoga class. Thanks to Sarah and Stacey and the Blooma Pre-Natal Yoga Training, I am able to provide just that. I whole-heartedly recommend the Blooma Pre-Natal Training and will always be grateful for the opportunity to learn along side such wise and wonderful women. ~ Charlotte Singmin, Toronto |
The Blooma Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training in Toronto continues to be the best training I have ever taken. (and yoga teachers take a lot of of trainings)
Training with Sarah and Stacy led me to become a birth doula. They have so much passion for women and believe so strongly in their strength, wisdom and power it's hard not to want to spend all your time with mamas after this course. I learned more about birth and the process of being pregnant here than I did in some birth doula trainings! I had been teaching yoga for a long time when I took the Prenatal training and it gave me confidence to support and include mamas in my classes. Prenatal yoga is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your baby so being able to confidently teach what amounts to birth preparation yoga is so awesome. I love working with women and supporting them through their pregnancies and as a birth doula I see firsthand how applicable it is. This is not learning how to modify a 'normal' yoga class this is a very detailed, specific and supportive training to help you teach pregnant women. I can't thank these women enough for the love and the skills they have given to me. Xo ~ Davian den Otter, Toronto Blooma Love From Around The World"The class size and personal attention and access to several knowledgable teachers really contributed to my learning. I learned that Prenatal Yoga teachers need to find their voice by letting go of attachments, laughing at mistakes, forgiving ourselves and having fun!" |
