Meet Your Instructor - Catherine Wright
I began supporting families around sleep shortly after I had my daughter over 10 years ago. I was fascinated by the abundance of often conflicting advice surrounding infant sleep, and so I embarked on my own exploration and education on infant and toddler sleep, attachment and mental health. This was a natural extension of my (pre-mom) career as a birth doula, and shiatsu therapist.
Today, I use an integrative approach when supporting families around sleep – my experience with childbirth education, birthing, meditation, shiatsu therapy, craniosacral therapy and nutrition has shaped a wide-lens, holistic approach to sleep learning, which I’m extremely grateful for.
For the past 10 years I been primarily focused on offering my Supportive Sleep Coaching services to new families, as well as facilitating a variety of educational seminars on infant sleep with my community partner - Yoga Mamas Co. This aspect of my business Recoop, is continually blossoming!
I am a Certified Maternity and Child Sleep Consultant (International Maternity and Parenting Institute), member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants, DONA Certified Birth Doula, Certified Shiatsu Therapist and mother. I have been
working with new families for over a decade, and have been focused on sleep consulting for almost 9 years. I have a particular interest and focus on postpartum mood disorders and infant mental health and attachment.
