Corina is a certified DONA doula, yoga teacher, childbirth educator (Birthing from Within), and former archaeologist. Her diverse background, including sexual diversity studies and medical anthropology paved the path for her full spectrum doula work and childbirth education.
After finishing her MA in Archaeology (in Newfoundland!), Corina moved back to Toronto and began teaching yoga full time. Her perinatal work bloomed out of teaching prenatal yoga (at Toronto Yoga Mamas!) - she loved it so much she become a doula, a childbirth educator, and prenatal Thai massage practitioner.
Corina's approach to doula care focuses on holistic and non-judgemental support - including physical, mental, informational, and emotional support. She believes that there are as many ways to give birth and start a family as there are people. Corina is passionate about creating a safe, compassionate, personalized, and loving space for each client's birth and postpartum journey.
Outside of work, Corina loves farmer’s markets, baking, sewing, and cats!

Kaia was first introduced to doula care and its benefits while completing her undergraduate studies in maternal and reproductive health care at the University of Toronto. She has worked as a birth and postpartum doula and perinatal educator since 2016 and has loved every opportunity to support families throughout their journey. In her doula work, she draws on her nurturing and intuitive personality, as well as her academic and professional experiences in health care and support work. Her approach to doula care is grounded in evidence-based practices, individualized support, and unconditional support for all birthing preferences and choices to promote more positive experiences in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting. Kaia has additional training in breastfeeding support, childbirth education, and comfort techniques for labour, including acupressure, labour positions, and relaxation.
Outside of her doula work, Kaia is a volunteer with the Women’s Program at the AIDS Committee of Toronto and childcare provider specializing in care for babies under one. She will be starting her Midwifery Studies at Ryerson University in Fall 2018 and looks forward to integrating this education and experience into her work as a doula and childbirth educator.
Giovanna competed her training with Bebo Mia and is certified as a fertility, birth and postpartum doula. She has also trained with Birth Becomes Her to follow her passion as a birth photographer. She has also certified in Acupressure and Shiatsu with Wellmother Shiatsu Birth Training.
She is a mom to an amazing little girl but long before she gave birth, being a doula was all she ever wanted to do. The gift to grow life from scratch is an amazing blessing and journey. And experiencing pregnancy, labour and birth herself showed her everything she needed to know to start her journey as a doula.
Giovanna also has a deep respect and love for meditation and she feels that this allows her to connect and support the families she works with on a deeper level. Her passion is for every woman to be treated with respect, love and care during their birth .
Formerly a professional ballet dancer and Pilates instructor, Emilia is a passionate DONA trained birth doula.
Emilia spent most of her formative years training with such ballet schools as Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Boston Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre and later went on to dance professionally with various companies across Canada. This led to her establishing an intimate connection and deep knowledge of the care and comfort of the human body.
Emilia’s greatest desire is to provide gentle, unbiased, and nurturing guidance to her clients through whatever birth wishes they may choose. She aims to offer evidence based knowledge and support. She believes that knowing all the options available to you can only serve to help facilitate a fantastic birth experience. Birth is a sacred rite of passage, Emilia considers it an incredible honour to hold space for birthing persons and their loved ones.
A current student at Ryerson University working towards a degree in social work, Emilia chose the program due to her passion for community activism and a desire to help enable others to self advocate. Her work as a doula holds the intersection of her life long love of birth and women’s health and her wish to assist with social change and maternal empowerment in her community.
When not providing doula support to Toronto’s birthing persons and their families, Emilia can be found baking cakes for her friends, going on adventures that bring her closer to an ocean, and hanging out with her Sphynx cat, Edith Pickles.
Florence is a certified birth doula, yoga instructor, pre & post-natal movement specialist and Osteopathic Manual Therapist (candidate).
After her own experiences in the hospital Florence became increasingly aware of the lack of emotional support for patients especially surrounding fertility, infertility, early pregnancy loss and pregnancy. As a result, she began to focus on prenatal and postnatal movement. She has had the privilege of exclusively working with birthing people using movement exclusively to rehabilitate after pregnancy and delivery. Inspired to advocate further, Florence completed her DONA Birth Doula training.
As a doula, Florence draws upon her vast knowledge of human anatomy and her clinical experience to offer advocacy, emotional support and evidenced based information tailored to the needs of each individual. She is a big science nerd and enjoys empowering her clients with information about the physiological changes to expect during pregnancy, before labor, during labor and during the post-natal phase. She hopes that by offering her support and vast knowledge in this field her clients will feel informed and empowered to make the best choices for themselves during their prenatal, birth and postpartum period.

Toronto Doula Testimonials
When my husband and I first decided we wanted to hire a doula we didn’t really know what to expect but we did know the kind of support we wanted to have during the birth of our son. Adrienne is an amazing support tool not only pre-birth but during labour and post birth. During my labour she always had my best interest at heart and the entire time she was in total control of my needs and well-being. The best thing we did for ourselves was hiring Adrienne, she really made a difference in our experience ~ Amy
Amy was an amazing Doula. She was extremely supportive and calming presence to both my husband and I. We are not the type of people that would ask for help when dealing with stressful situation, however Amy knew exactly what we needed and was also one step ahead offering support. Amy was always available when we had any questions, and after we were discharged from the hospital and I was having issues latching, she came over instantaneously offering any help and support. And she makes one helluva cookie!!!~ Jessica
I have to admit that my husband Pascal was doubtful about having a Doula. But when we first met Megan, he completely changed his mind and agreed that we found the perfect person to help us through this adventure. It was important for me to have a natural delivery and without Megan I have to say that I would have not been able to do it. Not only did she help me cope with the pain but she also helped Pascal be a great support during those tough hours. She allowed us to have the delivery we wanted in communicating with the hospital staff. Megan is a dedicated person that we could trust from day one. She was available at any time, very competent and knowledgeable. She knows how to reassure and have an answer to each question we could have on pregnancy, labor and after delivery. There is no words to express how grateful we are to have her as our Doula. I would recommend her to anyone. ~ Anais
Words can’t describe just how grateful we are to have had Adrienne as our birth and post natal doula. Her professionalism, communication skills, knowledge, and personal gentle touch was everything we could have hoped for! When I was on the fence about getting a doula, I had a friend say to me “Carla, I’ve never met someone that had a doula and said ‘Oh I really wish I didn’t have one!’ ” The moral of the story is that it’s a service that is undeniably helpful and comforting. And especially with Adrienne by our side. From our first visit all the way to the end, her service to us and our new baby has been nothing short of excellent. Thank you again Adrienne for all that you’ve done! We will never forget it!” With love – Carla, Ara & Baby Ava!
Having a doula for support before/during/after the birth was worth every penny. A huge part of my positive birth experience can be attributed to April’s services, as she prepared us so thoroughly that we were able to go into labour and delivery without fear, and she could anticipate the best way to support both my partner and I during the birth itself. I could relax during the experience knowing that we had a knowledgable person on our team, and that my husband could tag out with someone I could trust as need be. I would recommend hiring a doula 1000 times over! ~ Whittney
It was truly amazing having Danielle's support and encouragement throughout my pregnancy and during birth. She is super knowledgeable and her calmness and confidence gave me the strength that I needed for my labour. Now I have a beautiful labour story to tell people- hopefully helping others see that it doesn't have to be a scary experience;) ~ Caitlin B.
