Taking place from Wednesday, July 27th - Wednesday August 17th 2016, at Toronto Yoga Mamas, in Leslieville, Toronto, the Infant Massage 4 Week Workshop offers parents infant massage training techniques to promote wellness and connection between you and your baby.
First Class: Strokes for the legs; Discuss newborn reflexes including crying
Second Class: Strokes for the arms, chest and face; Discuss the science of bonding
Third Class: Strokes for the tummy and the gas and colic routine; Discuss theories on colic and solutions
Fourth Class: Strokes for the back, full-body routine and gentle exercises/games for baby; Discuss how to keep the connection as they grow

International Association of Infant Massage
The curriculum you will be taught has been developed by Vimala McClure at the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). The IAIM has been teaching instructors and parents the art of infant massage since the early 1980's. My name is Carolynn Darrell and I am excited that you are inviting me on your parenting journey.
Ancient wisdom, modern parenting is a tagline I created to describe my parenting and teaching philosophy. There has been a recent surge of interest and research in parenting practices of long, long ago. Swaddling, infant massage and breastfeeding are a few of these practices that are high on the modern parent's radar. My philosophy honours thousands of years of evolutionary wisdom, but also values the needs and realities of 21st century families.

My role is to simply teach and empower you to massage your baby.Infant massage is an ancient practice revived that harnesses the power of touch to heal and bond.
